Speech Connect is a desktop app by Adeptimus. This policy explains how Speech Connect handles information when you use the app and related support pages.

Local app data

Speech Connect is designed to store your library on your computer. This can include imported audio files, microphone recordings, generated audio, transcripts, summaries, study cards, collections, search data, app settings, logs, and backup configuration.

Audio, transcripts, and generated content

Audio and transcript content can be sensitive. Local features process this content on your device. If you enable or use a cloud-backed AI feature, relevant text may be sent through the Adeptimus AI Gateway so a configured AI provider can create a transcript cleanup, summary, study card, or answer.

Support

If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, support message, screenshots, logs, product version, operating system, and files you attach.

Voice references and consent

If you upload or record a voice reference, you are responsible for making sure you own or have permission to use that voice. Do not upload another person's voice without consent.

Children and schools

Speech Connect may be useful to adults working with children, but do not submit a child's personal information, voice, or education records to any cloud-backed feature unless you have the legal authority and required consent to do so.

Third-party services

Cloud-backed AI features may route requests through providers selected by Adeptimus. Support requests are handled through Adeptimus support systems. The app also includes open-source components and downloadable model assets listed in the Third-Party Notices page.

Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, change the data folder, remove the app data folder, or restore from a backup. Support communications are retained as needed to provide support, maintain records, and protect the service.
