Security

Speech Connect is designed as a local-first desktop app. Most app data is stored on the user's computer in the configured data folder.

Local storage

The app stores its database, saved audio, source audio, logs, model assets, and settings locally. Users can change the data folder from Settings.

When cloud-backed AI is enabled, the desktop app talks to an Adeptimus-controlled gateway. Provider API keys are not embedded in the desktop app.

Speech Connect requires users to confirm they own or have permission to use uploaded or recorded voice reference clips.

Report security issues through Adeptimus Support. Include the product name, version, operating system, and enough detail to reproduce the issue.
